Troop 76 Venture scouts (with adult support) at the summit of Mt. Mansfield on the Long Trail in Vermont. The summit is Vermont's highest, at 4,393 feet. The picture was taken on day 2 of a 3 day, 15 mile backpacking trip to prepare for a 10 day trek to Philmont Scout Ranch in summer 2014. The Long Trail is famous for its difficulty, and it certainly lived up to its reputation on this trip.

Troop 76 offers a challenging program of high adventure, community service, leadership, and life skill development. 2011 marked 90 years of developing over 160 of Simsbury's young men into Eagle Scouts, and we're marching toward 100!. Meetings are every Thursday night at 7pm at the First Church of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow Street.
